These flowers are from a long-time friend's traditional Pakistani wedding. All 6 pieces contain flowers from both the bride's bouquet, and the wreath of red & white carnations that the groom wore.
After trimming and drying, I found pieces jumping out at me with their natural movement. It made the design portion of this work thoroughly enjoyable, they flow with such ease, a reflection of the happiness I felt when making them.
The original intention was to given 1 or 2 away to relatives, and I approached this with a, "Which is your favorite?" frame of mind. A distinct identity for each circle, a short memory of our time together, and representative of all the moments to come.
