Espace Disque 2020

10'' clear, neon yellow, and matte white disk made from acrylic resin and acrylic inks.

This piece is inspired by the space station Lego sets I played with as a child; the 90's vision of space always resonated with me as über cool.

I constructed this piecemeal, first the middle neon yellow bar, then adhered to a round acrylic blank, built up the sides with more acrylic sheeting, and then I poured the opaque white side and translucent clear side opposite each other.
